a little paper texture inspiration for our tuesday

Good morning,
Thanks everyone for saying so many nice things about my table at the Paper Pops! Poppytalk Handmade Market! You really make such a nice community here.

Today is {my studio day} and I want to share some paper textures that I'm currently inspired by. Sunday we went to a farm and picked our own asparagus, yumm. We brought home six pounds. For a snack yesterday after school I sliced a few pieces of cheese and liked the way light hit all the facets of the wax paper.

I hope you find little bits of inspiration in your day today,
Heather

The Paper Pops PHM market is open!

my current favorite piece from my new series 'flowers and facets', anticipating it will be available soon : "remembering a glimmer", graphite, watercolor, iridescent acrylic, colored pencil on paper, paper size 5 in. x 5 in.

Good morning all,

I hope you enjoyed your weekend and that you moms out there had a wonderful day yesterday!

I've been looking forward to the Poppytalk Handmade Market opening today and it looks to have a lot of great talent! I'm excited see some friends are in it as well! I hope you'll go visit and see what I mean and drop by my table and say hi.

More excitement for today.

See you soon,
Heather

Good morning,
Thank you for all the cake ideas, they sound delicious. I'm going to keep them in mind; lemon, coconut, chocolate, caramel, the yumminess goes on and on... Today when I get home from teaching I am going to make a vegan chocolate cake, from Moosewood Cooks at Home, and then make my mom's chocolate buttercream frosting. yumm.

Above are images from my studio,[I put your pieces above my windows to inspire me, so thank you!] , the Artstream Modern Spring show with my work on the wall, and the KC in LA show. Do you see my two pieces in the middle? I was sent a link to a podcast of the KC in LA show, it's here, with one little peek of my two pinhole pieces.

Have a nice weekend, I hope to return with some cake for you,
Heather

Monday, I'll share my Poppytalk Handmade Market table with you!
