Good morning,

How are you today?
Yesterday I worked on the wallpaper pinhole project. I hope to make enough progress on it this week so I can share it with you by the end of the week. I also put some previous work on the wall, and while thinking about it, got ideas for new pieces for the wpp. I love it when ideas flow like that, don't you?

Inspiration:
+ Kiki Smith Maiden & Moonflower hand-printed wallpaper via poppytalk.
+ Collection of wallcoverings at the Cooper-Hewitt Museum : William Morris Daisy wallpaper : children's wallcoverings Oranges and Lemons... : Domino paper c. 1750
+ My husband is a woodworker, and in addition he does restoration work on old homes here in the area. Sometimes, if the circumstances allow, I am able to collect bits of the old wallpapers and see the layers of papers that have been applied to the walls. I have a box of these fragile pieces and enjoy looking at them from time to time.

new week : new month

Good Monday to you!

It's the beginning of a new week and a new month. White. Fresh. Open to possibilities. {If only this truly was my cheerful mood on Monday mornings!}

The photo above shows various views of current progress on my WALLPAPER PINHOLE PROJECT that I've been wanting to share with you.

Saturday I went to the Holiday Art Fair here in town and bought this necklace made by Ann Andersson of Swede at Heart Designs : Her website : her etsy shop : and I just discovered her blog. Ordinarily I would NOT buy something for myself this close to Christmas, but it's a lovely piece for a sweet young person. She is donating a large part of the retail price to help with Caden's medical bills. At the Fair I also ran into another friend who is a painter, Laura Nugent : her flickr. She and I met a year and a half ago when we both were taking a print workshop at the Arts Center.

Go see pictures of a great Christmas Market here, on Bibbi's post.

I hope your new week and month begin well,
Heather
