a beginning

{work from yesterday} progress on a new formation : "keep going", graphite, watercolor, colored pencil, pinholes on paper, 4" x 6".
      "I dreamt {& YOU were there}", graphite, watercolor, pinholes on paper, 4" x 6".
"on a fine day you can hear", graphite, watercolor, pinholes on paper, 4" x 6".

Good morning,

My spring break officially begins this afternoon at 3:30, after the last child leaves the classroom. cheer cheer! And although our weather here is going to be slightly less than springy {they say it's going to snow tomorrow!}, I plan to treat next week as if I were on a residency. That means {hopefully} lots of studio time. I'm excited, because I have a lot of holes to pinhole. I'm preparing for a couple shows coming up really soon, that I'll tell you about later.

If you haven't already, will you go give Alicia a hug? She's been taking care of a sick little girl all week.

'see' you soon friends,

until the last drop of light

growth in the cement : "building from the center", graphite, watercolor, colored pencil, pinholes on paper, 4" x 6".

Good morning,
I'm loving waking up and hearing so many birds singing, are you? I also really like the time change, with more light late in the day, but I still haven't gotten used to it. We ate dinner last night at 9 o'clock, and M. said "it's like summer". In the summer we always eat late, because we're outside til the last drop of light. Do you do that?

Today I hope to make some pinhole progress on two projects and may share some of it with you soon.

still feeling quiet here, except for the birds,
Heather

it's a beautiful day...

Good evening,

And yes, it was a beautiful day here today, was it where you are? I hope! After lunch I walked around, noticing, and feeling the warm sun. Speaking of noticing, my heart jumped a little when I saw Alicia's image for our diptych today {tuesday}, so sweet, those little hands.

By now, you've probably seen, the most beautiful barn photo, but it certainly bears another look, or ten looks.

And since we're on the subject of taking pictures, if you love to take polaroids, send a jpeg of your {own} favorites here, to Habitat and be eligible for $$$ towards some of their fab shoes! Tell them hi too, while you're at it.

Thanks for your thoughts and well wishes on the last post friends!

till soon,
Heather

tell me the story about a RAINBOW

watching the light : "tell me the story about a RAINBOW", graphite, watercolor on paper, 4" x 6".

Hi,
I'm quiet today as I've been laying low, resting up from a stomach bug over the weekend. However I have made a few new drawings today, in a new size, 4" x 6". Above is a peek at one of them.

* I really enjoyed hearing Shari sing, didn't you? {You can hear her giggle at the end.}
* A ceramic artist friend of mine, is beginning her new space.
* new to me : the Scoop, blog of Orange Beautiful, found via perfectbound on their true blue post.
* more green : green pop, eco-themed market at poppytalk.

take care,
Heather
