Around ten or eleven years back I made a series of watercolor paintings called, “Oceans and Wheat”. Maybe one or two of you might remember the series, who visited my (then) Etsy shop? Anyway, that series came to mind after the color meditation inspired by @lisasolomon that I painted and shared in my last post. So today’s entry is similar in feel, with rows or waves of dots. This morning I sat down to work in my sketchbook for a few minutes and @lisasolomon and her color meditations came to mind. Two things: 1) I look at this entry and see a section that I want focus on further. 2) I am starting to write again, for myself, notations of what I notice in the world, experienced on our morning walks. watching the light : "tell me the story about a RAINBOW", graphite, watercolor on paper, 4" x 6".

Hi,
I'm quiet today as I've been laying low, resting up from a stomach bug over the weekend. However I have made a few new drawings today, in a new size, 4" x 6". Above is a peek at one of them.

* I really enjoyed hearing Shari sing, didn't you? {You can hear her giggle at the end.}
* A ceramic artist friend of mine, is beginning her new space.
* new to me : the Scoop, blog of Orange Beautiful, found via perfectbound on their true blue post.
* more green : green pop, eco-themed market at poppytalk.
