[working on the art cards | letterpress printing holiday cards]

Good morning,

The past few days I've been finishing up the next installment of the art card subscriptions {they will mail out tomorrow, yippee!} and preparing for the next shop update. I keep moving it back, but now am setting it for Tuesday, Oct. 21. I'll share glimpses soon; I wonder if you'll be surprised at some of the holiday things I'm making? :)

} The new Ruby mag is out.
} Issue three of this joy + ride is out!
} The Oxford Project via Sub Studio.
} Today is Renee's birthday, yay!
} We posted a new collection at echoes yesterday.

I hope your day is sunny! [it's rather grey here]

Good evening,

I hope your weekend has been wonderful. Has it?
I want to share our Inspired duo from September, with my drawing on the left and Jen's photo on the right. I really like the texture, pattern, and tactile quality of these two. And the orange/blue contrast in Jen's photo and her sweet kitty all curled up round, in a sea of stitching. It all makes me happy.
She's posted our other September duo as well.

} This Etsy Storque article, Autumn Musings makes me happy too.
} The new Poppytalk Handmade Market, Indie Love, a pre-holiday market, opens Monday!
} My shop update with holiday items is coming in the next few days. I'm a wee bit behind and want everything to be just right. I'll keep you posted.

Happy last few hours of the weekend to you and a beautiful Monday as well,
H

Good morning,

Yesterday for lunch I made one dish applesauce from one of the many yummy local apples that are available this year. Last year there were no apples because of a late spring freeze! Autumn wasn't the same without them. Right now I have some more apples with cinnamon on the stove and some steel cut oats simmering. It will be my breakfast before a day of teaching.

I hope to pop in on Sunday so Jen & I can share our September Inspired pairs. And I may show you some holiday items that I'll be adding to the shop next week.

Happy Thanksgiving to our Canadian friends!

Have a nice weekend,
H

Inspired : October

Good morning,

While our September Inspired responses are in transit to one another, Jen and I thought we'd go ahead and share our October pieces with you. You can see her gorgeous, textural image above and nearly smell that steaming mug of coffee & those yummy local bakery treats. She posted my new piece here. I also noticed Jen has a new, rich and deeply tonal print in her shop.

a little news :
} I've been working on the next installment of the art card subscriptions and will have them ready to send out within the week! I've also been working on some very different, holiday inspired items that will go into the shop the 12th & 13th.

a little trail of blue :
} That blue trivet in Jen's photo makes me think of the new coasters, that sweet Rachel made. Aren't they great? I surely think so.
} I added a new drawing to the shop with blue watercolor.
} I like this scarf in blue.
} I like this photo with it's one blue glass.
} or how about a little blue desktop art? via {frolic!}

It's Tuesday so we'll have a new collection up at echoes.

Thank you so much for stopping by today!
