Sunday baking

Good Sunday to you,
I made raspberry muffins this morning with our fresh garden raspberries that Matt picked. It turned the batter purple! The recipe is based from one in "cooks at home" by Moosewood. They turned out yummy.

It's gorgeous here today, perfect for working outside in the garden, which is what I'm about to do.

I hope your day is super nice! Cookin' anything?

and Friday morning blooms

[more Noticing from yesterday, our onion blooms : "flower and lattice", pinholes on paper, 5 in. x 5 in., piece No. SIX in the series, now in the shop.]

Good morning,

I'm feeling sleepy this morning, so the words are coming slowly.

Next week Alicia and I will be shakin' things up over at the Noticing Project. I think she's going to send her camera in to the camera doctor so we will be exploring other mediums to share our daily noticing. I'm looking forward to it.

+ Jen's beautiful new website.
+ Erin's fun news! Hooray!
+ Have you signed up for this yet? The winner will be randomly selected tomorrow, the 28th.

Ok, I'm going to finish my coffee and get my brain ready to teach the sweet kiddos today. This weekend I think I'll be working in the garden and I really want to finish my new website! What are you planning for the weekend?

Happy Friday to you!

{run-on} thinking

[page from AUGUST POLAROID PROJECT of last August, 8.18.07 : click image to view large]

[starting a new piece yesterday in the studio : sometimes it helps me to see where a piece begins]

Hi,

First, I just want to thank you for the wonderful comments you've been sharing here, I love it! Each one makes me smile and I think, "wow, these are great people!"

Do you ever have so much going on or so many ideas in your head that you can't get them out fast enough? And maybe when they do come out they're jumbled?

I love having ideas, because let's face it, when they're not there, it feels really frustrating. Right now I'm working on how to process and execute these ideas and for some reason revisiting my AUGUST POLAROID PROJECT is helping me think.
I have new & ongoing projects running concurrently, balancing new work for the shop and galleries. Sometimes it seems like alot. And right now I'm happy to be busy, I'm not complaining. Every time I walk into my studio I think to myself "God, thank you for this place that I can come to and make things."

Thank you for letting me share my run-on process thinking here this morning. Is there anything you'd like to process/vent/figure out today?

ps. oh, sunprint paintings from yesterday's image are going in the shop.

morning sunshine

[making sunprints one sunny day last week : pieces TEN through FIFTEEN of the sunprint paintings series]

Good morning Sunshine,

So,,, how are you today?
My morning has been unexpectedly busy. Sweet Jen / Swallowfield let me know that this pinhole piece made it to the front page of etsy today. yippee! I also put in three new pieces: piece No. 2 from the oceans & wheat series [which I'm really happy with how it turned out] and piece No.'s TEN & ELEVEN from the sunprint paintings series.

Thanks for sharing what you were making yesterday, you are some busy gals! I did in fact make a bigger painting on paper which I'll show you, I'm just not sure what I'm going to do with it yet. And then I made some brownies last night on a whim from my mom's yummy recipe.

Anything exciting shining your way today? I hope so.

making bread & new friends

Good morning to you,

Yesterday I made french bread to take to a gathering of sweet, talented, spirited, kind, pretty, lovely ladies, many of whom I was meeting for the first time! It was a lot of fun {I don't know when I've laughed so hard!} and I got to see Alicia again, and I always love that. {I'm not {yet} divulging their identities to you in case they want to remain "incognito".} But if you are one of them here reading I'm happy, truly, that I got to meet/see you {in the real world} last evening!

Today is sweet Angie's birthday! Hooray! She's got a chocolate cake with delectable looking frosting, yum.

Alrighty, I better get to work. Tomorrow I think I'll share some new sunprints & process with you. Today, I feel like starting something big,,, we'll see. It's a studio day, anything can happen.

do you have plans to make something today?,
