Taking advantage of a sunny day, I photographed work for my new shop. (Getting closer!) And since I had my camera out, I snapped a few shots of what was around me, which included a lot of cats. As the weather warms, three furry animals seems like a lot. Can you relate?
And this weekend I had the pleasure of meeting Natalie and her husband, Luke (for the first time) on a spur of the moment coffee get together. They happened to be in KC for a friend's wedding and I dashed in to the city to meet them. Of course we talked about gardening! And wow, she gave me some of the strawberry jam she and her mom made. I baked biscuits on Sunday just so I could open this jar of ruby toned jam. Yum, yum, yum. Eyes rolled back in my head, yum. Needless to say, Natalie is even more lovely and sweet in person.
Also, on Saturday I went to my friend Christy's book signing. She has illustrated a newly released children's Bible and her work really and truly makes my jaw drop. To the floor. Christy is incredibly talented and the amount of dedication this project required is astronomical. This book will undoubtedly make a special gift for years to come. Check it out!
