Last Sunday it stormed, pouring heavy rains as I left church to attend the bridal shower of a former co-teacher's daughter. Once guests arrived the rains slowed and it turned into a nice afternoon. The hostess's home was filled will collections of art, sea glass, small boxes, and a beautiful garden in the back. She also has one of my pinhole pieces from a few years ago, which was fun to see again.
I have taken pictures of this whole family on several occasions and always love the opportunity to do so again. Watching the girls grow over the past few years has also been a joy, undoubtedly they gave the afternoon a little extra sparkle. (Click on images to view larger.)
This weekend I'm looking forward to the grand opening of the new coffee shop, Decade, that my husband and the guys renovated. I'll take pictures of the space and share soon. Also, since the weather looks like it will be pleasant, I hope we'll do a little gardening. And, a film I've been looking forward to seeing for a long time is opening in KC at the Tivoli, Finding Vivian Maier. Yay!
Have a good weekend!
