New wood block cards

Hi to you out there,
I hope you're well today. It's rather warm here, over 90 degrees! We enjoyed working out in the garden this weekend and I'm happy to report it is really shaping up. I can't even tell you how much spinach we are harvesting. In a bit, I think I'll go work on a recipe that perhaps I'll share at tend on Thursday.

But first, I want to let you know that I have just listed new wood block cards in my Etsy shop. The first batch I made were in bright colors (thank you, they are sold out!) and I enjoyed making them so much that I wanted to do more. Yet I wanted to try a different color palette, so the new ones are in muted tones. Only a limited twenty sets are available. I'm working on other letterpress ideas that I hope to share soon.

Have a good night!

Friends and Water Paper Paint

My friend Bailey (a metal smith and high school art teacher) sent a painting to share a preview of the work she and her students were making. They worked on the Masking and Stencil project from my book Water Paper Paint. I like the line work they added. It's so fun to see this and hear how others are exploring the projects in the book. Thanks Bailey!

Geninne, who has work featured in the gallery section of Water Paper Paint, is hosting a giveaway of the book. Go drop your name in the hat! Thanks Geninne!

Something I saw & a few links

Spring a few weeks ago

Have you ever seen a flock of goldfinches gathering in a field of dandelions? That's the scene today in the field next to us. Imagine a layer of green grass, dotted with white dandelion poofs and bright yellow birds fluttering about with late afternoon sun coming in sideways. I must try to get a photo.

> Jan's Poppytalk Handmade Lookbook for May really is great, with many beautiful paper goods inside. And I'm so happy my wood block cards made the cover!
