Paintings are propped about because I just finished a studio visit. Happily, the gallery director who came wants all the pieces I showed her for exhibition at the end of the year.

During outside time this morning at preschool one little girl hopped under the awning to escape the warm sun for a bit. As I walked by she said, "I'm sitting in the shadow". Her use of words makes me smile.

A close up detail of my current painting. I'm remembering how much I like slathering oil paint and pushing it around. Sometimes it is the areas in between the "subject matter" that are the most interesting to me.
