this, that, & other

Hi,

I was walking downtown late this afternoon and was struck by this somewhat wrapped/veiled building. In it's own way it reminded me of Christo. Look at these wrapped trees, isn't that a powerful sight?

I've been working so hard to get ready for this, that and the other that once again, I don't know where the days have gone this week! But I'm excited for what is to come and am grateful to you for letting me share with you.

this} My shop update will be Monday, Nov. 17 at 8 am. cst. And here's what I'm planning :
*I will have ten slots for new art card subscriptions
*a new letterpress card set
*new original art
*letterpress gift tag sets
*and perhaps a few new hearts as well. [I did sneak in a new heart this evening.]
And yes there will be piping hot coffee. :)

that} I'll have a table in the new Poppytalk Holiday Market which opens bright and early Monday as well.

the other} And a new venue,,, I'm going to be part of a new exhibition at Paper n Stitch opening Saturday! yay!

...................
Did you know today is Alicia's birthday? I'm looking forward to seeing her and Rachel tomorrow evening for some celebrating.

I hope you have wonderful plans for the weekend. I may pop in to share a new Inspired pairing with you and then I'll see you Monday morning when I'll unveil all that's in store.

I better go, I smell dinner... Happy end of the week to you dear friends!

grey & color

[both recent Noticing Project alternates]

Good evening,

I am finding it hard to believe it is evening already because it seems it was just morning. And the light didn't really change much today. It was grey the whole time. I don't think the sun ever made it into the sky. As much as I enjoy wearing neutrals [in fact I'm wearing army green cords and black] I am needing to enjoy light and color. How about you?

Have you seen :
} Susannah's beautiful photographs lately? This month she's giving a set of postcards with every purchase, pretty sweet.
} Or visited Stephanie's shop? She is always coming up with something new. She also has a gift for you this month. The color in this really perks me up.
} And I came upon Sharon Montrose's shop last night. If you're an animal lover, these should make you smile. Check out her website too.

Tomorrow or Thursday I'll give you a sneak peek of what's to come in my shop update and Jen & I will have Inspired work to share.

I hope the sun comes out soon don't you?

hello

Good Monday morning to you!

I mentioned on Friday I'd let you know about the new 3-month art card subscriptions. They will be available in my shop by Monday, Nov. 17 in conjunction with the opening of the new Poppytalk Handmade Holiday Market. Since I need to have my new items listed in the PHM before Monday they will actually be in my shop this coming weekend. I'll let you know here once they're in.

I will make TEN slots available. The first batch of art cards will go out in early December so if someone wants to give them as a gift, they'll reach the recipient in time.

It's been really fun to make these art cards and give each group a theme. In a way, they are their own body of work. I enjoy sending them out each month to folks, who mention to me they enjoy the surprise of when it arrives!

I hope you had a delightful weekend. While I didn't make bread like I thought we did make a big batch of homemade vegetable soup, chocolate chip cookies with millet, and some muffins for Sunday brunch. So perhaps that counts?

Thank you for listening today,
H

saturday

[roasting chestnuts]

It definitely feels like autumn here today. It's in the 30's, overcast, and quite windy. But that didn't keep us from attending the last day of the farmer's market for the season. We also brought back those butternut squash, some sweet potatoes and a bunch of apples for baking.

Have you ever tasted roasted chestnuts? They are sweet, buttery and soft. Yum yum.

} Happy birthday Julie!
} Rachel's beautiful leaf in her new shop!

Happy weekending to you,
H

Good morning,

How are you on this Friday? It has been quite a week, and I don't know about you, but I'm ready for the weekend. I'm ready to relax a little and work a little. I haven't made homemade bread in a while perhaps that should be on the agenda. And I hope to work more on the art card subscriptions and the starburst letterpress card.

I am going to offer new art card subscriptions again soon in my shop. I'll let you know on Monday the exact date. And I'm hoping next week to have this new card all complete.

Some fun things:
}paper and stitch giveaway
}photo session [makes me smile]
}Mankind Mag, Handmade issue

Do you have something fun planned for your weekend, I hope?
