as someone who likes to poke holes in things, filling them is something a little different, although both are slow and methodical. I've been puttying and color matching (going around with a little paint brush and staining) all the nail holes in the trim this weekend in my new studio. Finishing up the details...
I saw this obscure place that I've never paid any attention to when I went to the neighborhood hardware store today to buy a mop (so I can do a light mopping on my new studio floor!! to get up the sawdust residue). All the signage on this place is so interesting to me. It's kind of an odd little place. I feel it needs a girl in a cotton-candy pink prom dress sitting in the chair to soften the whole facade.
Well back to work for me, I'm puttying nail holes in the trim today in my new studio. There will be pictures soon to share :)!

my mom in fall '74 with me in her tummy. photo taken by my dad.
somehow the photo has gotten all splotchy which makes me sad because I really like this image: seeing the mountains reflected in the windows and our dogs' paw prints all over the porch and my mom at an age younger than I am now.
but i still really like this photo; it's like a painting to me.
because this way has the passion flower...
