It was a lovely early autumn day at arts-based preschool today. One of the children dumped out the bucket of chalks onto the ground. I guess that's the best way to find the piece you're looking for. I like the "sweet tart"-ness of these colors.

re-discoveries

I went to my old studio today to survey the work I need to complete. In the next few days I will be packing the place up. I've rented the little space for five years and am ready to move on.
I found some dried plant forms, some insects I have drawn, robin's egg shells, and an old sketch book. I'm sure there will be more re-discoveries as I put things in boxes.
